Our Student Aparna Chandrasekharan Excels at IEEE YESIST12 with Mentorship from BCTLABS
The IEEE YESIST12 (Youth Endeavors for Social Innovation Using Sustainable Technology) competition, a prestigious international platform for young innovators, provides students the opportunity to develop and present technological solutions with meaningful social impact. In 2019, our student Aparna Chandrasekharan participated in the competition, demonstrating her creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities on a global stage under the guidance of BCTLABS STEM Academy.
Pioneering Innovative Solutions
Guided and mentored by BCTLABS, our student Aparna Chandrasekharan presented her safety watch for women and children, featuring a discreet activation button that releases a pungent spray to ensure immediate protection. Her project stood out for its originality, practical approach, and clear application of STEM concepts to real-world challenges, reflecting her ability to transform ideas into functional solutions.

Our student Aparna Chandrasekharan’s participation at YESIST12 earned her wide appreciation from judges, mentors, and fellow participants.
