Aparna Chandrasekharan’s creativity and technical thinking led to the development of a safety watch for women and children, equipped with a button that releases a pungent spray to provide immediate protection against bullies and attackers. This innovation received widespread appreciation for its practicality, social relevance, and potential to improve personal safety.In another groundbreaking project, Aparna focused on the early diagnosis of Dysgraphia in children, a learning disorder that affects writing abilities. Her innovative approach combined empathy with technology, earning her the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award and the Best Maker Award at Maker Fest–Odisha. Aparna also had the honor of representing India at the ASEAN Indian Grassroots Innovation Competition in Indonesia, proudly showcasing her talent on an international platform.
