ROVER 4WDXL60R is a robust indoor/outdoor robotic platform designed for smart agricultural applications and precision automation. Built on a sturdy chassis made of 1mm sheet metal, the rover features a powerful 4-wheel drive system with a unique 4-wheel turning mechanism, allowing excellent maneuverability across various terrains. It is equipped with four high-torque DC geared motors and high-quality wheels measuring 125mm in diameter and 60mm in width, offering a payload capacity of up to 5kg—ideal for carrying cameras, pan-tilt systems, sensors, and other small electronic equipment.
At the core of its functionality is a 24V focusable laser module mounted on a rail-guided stepper motor, enabling smooth horizontal movement. A camera is also mounted on this rail, trained using AI via PictoBlox firmware to detect weeds. When a weed is identified, the system triggers the laser to target and eliminate it. A potentiometer is included to manually control laser intensity. For motion control, the rover utilizes a dual BTS7960 43A high-power H-bridge motor driver for forward and backward movement, while a 40KG S8218 servo motor powers the 4-wheel turning system.
ROVER 4WDXL60R supports both autonomous and manual control. It can be remotely operated using a FlySky transmitter and receiver, and it integrates two BCT Nano controllers—one dedicated to stepper motor control and another for AI processing. Bluetooth connectivity enables pairing with the PictoBlox software for real-time AI-driven operations. A TB6600 stepper motor driver ensures precise control of the stepper motor, while two BCT DC-to-green terminal connectors manage power input—24V for the laser and 12V for the stepper motor. Power is efficiently distributed using a BCT power splitter for the Nano controllers (12V input), and a BCT XCT60 connector links the system to a LiPo battery, which supplies power to the motors and servo.
Additional features include a mounted siren that sounds upon weed detection, and an MI WiFi surveillance camera installed on top of the chassis for live monitoring, powered by a USB module. Combining intelligent detection, precision targeting, and versatile mobility, ROVER 4WDXL60R offers a cutting-edge solution for weed control and automated field surveillance.
